As a result, VM Connect now works much more efficiently. For example, to use the clipboard, a direct RDP connection to the virtual server is no longer necessary, since the RDP sessions run via the host. Furthermore, Microsoft has made it possible to copy and move files via drag and drop. 

Additionally, the new edition allows virtual hard disks (VHDX) to be resized on the fly. Shared VHDX also allows virtual servers to share a virtual hard disk. This is particularly advantageous for hard disks on which data is stored and for clusters based on virtual servers.
