Use open source R integration for advanced analysis. This version of Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Standard is licensed by Server/CAL. The Server/CAL licenses are worthwhile if you need few access licenses and can determine the accessing users or devices exactly. On the server side, a license is due per operating system environment (virtual or physical) in which an SQL Server instance is running. The number of installed SQL Server instances does not matter. With one license you can install and run multiple SQL Server Standard instances within one Windows Server instance (corresponds to an operating system environment). The CAL part of the Server/CAL licensing model works analogous to Exchange, SharePoint etc. There are User and Device CALs for different requirements.

SQL Server technologies:

database module:
