What are SQL Server 2017 CALs?

Important: The server license alone only covers the operation of the SQL Server. Only the combination of server license and the appropriate number of CALs represents a fully licensed and audit-proof Microsoft environment.

User CAL or Device CAL - which model is better?

SQL Server 2017 also offers two CAL models that can be flexibly adapted to different working methods.
