User CAL: A user CAL entitles a specific user to use any number of devices, such as a company PC, private PC, mobile phone, etc., from which he or she may access the server software.

You should select this license type if a user not only accesses the corresponding server with one device and, for example, uses his smartphone in addition to his PC to retrieve e-mails or uses a tablet as a secondary device. The same applies if employees are given the opportunity to use their private devices and log on to the network with them.
